A sustainable approach

Certified ISO 14001, FMGC's objective is to reduce and prevent its environmental impacts thanks to an important level of investment and a permanent collective commitment.

The change towards an ecological transition is fundamental for FMGC, which is fully committed to it, by limiting our emissions into the air, by regenerating our sand at 98% or by ensuring a recovery rate of more than 90% of our waste

FMGC is also working to reduce its consumption, through relamping, the deployment of a GTC, but also by reusing waste heat. Finally, our raw materials come from recycling channels

FMGC, une entreprise tournée vers le changement, en marche vers une transition écologique pour une économie plus respectueuse et responsable.

Responsable Environnement

An approach based on 4 pillars

Our environmental analysis allows us to prevent our environmental impacts , in particular through the implementation of sustainable solutions. For example, our raw materials (steel, old cast iron) come from 100% French recycling channels. In addition, our employees are aware of the major environmental issues and are trained in the best practices to adopt

Aware of the current and future issues related to global warming, we are committed to reducing our air emissions. To do this, we act directly on the sources of emissions in our manufacturing process by adopting more ecological solutions

The best waste is the one we do not produce, so 98% of our process sand is regenerated. We reuse our metal waste directly internally and recycle the others in France. We favour the circular and local economy with more than 90% of our waste being recovered. We are constantly looking for new sources of recovery

Our commitments are based on a relamping campaign with 100% LEDs and the implementation of a Centralized Technical Management System (CTMS). The CTM allows us to supervise and optimize the use of energy. In addition, the waste heat from the cupola, our foundry furnace, is recovered to heat our workshops and our process heating needs. All these actions allow us to have a responsible energy consumption
