FMGC Shells are Now Operational

Protection and Ballast for Submarine Cables

The installation of SABELLA D10 export cable (2 km long) started on May 25 at 6 a.m. in the morning and finished next day. The 200 meters of the submarine power cable are equipped with FMGC protecting and ballasting shells. Made of cast iron, these shells aim at stabilizing and holding in place the entire cable. The turbine is set to be installed this month and will be linked to the export cable.
