The diesel injection system is a sophisticated configuration responsible for generating a high-pressured and controlled entry of fuel into the combustion chamber. It consists of crucial components whose performance guarantees fuel efficiency, low emissions and proper engine work.
The drive shaft of the injection pump and mainly its lobe, i.e. cam-shaped, is a key part because of its great impact on an engine’s performance at different speeds. The drive shaft is driven by the engine pulley and rotates a roller which activates the plunger(s). During this motion phase, the plunger(s) will compress the fuel and raise it to a pressure above 1600 bars.
Setforge and Peugeot Japy Technologies, subsidiaries of Farinia Group, supply the automotive industry with cold, warm forged and machined steel drive shafts.
We manufacture superior automotive system components for top-class performance. Our forging shops are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and are operated by experienced engineers.
